Elly Crowhurst

Physiotherapist

Elly graduated from the university of Notre Dame with an interest in the sports and musculoskeletal area of physiotherapy. Elly’s interest in the profession began with recurrent injuries from playing multiple different sports during her adolescent period, resulting in multiple operations and rehabilitation periods. In her final year of studies, Elly also completed a practical placement in Women’s health alongside PROmotions own pelvic health physiotherapist Taryn and thoroughly enjoyed the placement and hopes to continue further involvement and training.

Throughout her university journey, Elly passionately pursued a career in sports training within the WAFL. Her career embarked at the West Coast Eagles, where she honed her skills and dedication to sports medicine. This experience paved the way for a significant milestone—assuming the role of head trainer at Claremont Football Club. Here, Elly not only excelled but also played a pivotal role in the 2023 premiership-winning Colts side, a testament to her expertise and commitment.

In recognition of her relentless hard work and the profound impact she made, 2024 marks a remarkable advancement in Elly's career. Her journey has now led her to become the head Physiotherapist for the Claremont AFLW team. This role not only signifies a new chapter in her professional life but also underscores her dedication to advancing women's sports and her contribution to the field of sports physiotherapy.

Elly has a keen interest in pre-hab and rehabilitation of football injuries along with treating the general sports and musculoskeletal populations as well. Elly is very keen on taking a holistic approach to any patient seen and is always willing to listen and take the time to understand.

Elly’s favourite MOTION includes running, weight sessions in the gym, Pilates and taking her dog max for walks.
