Diabetes Management

Recent research has found that for non-traumatic shoulder pain the best treatment is exercise! As a result, we have started a new rehabilitation class targeted at everything shoulders. Current evidence indicates that a structured, graduated and progressive strengthening program is as beneficial as surgery for some non-traumatic shoulder conditions.

Osteoarthritis Hip and Knee Program

A combined early intervention of education, exercise and weight control is recommended both nationally and internationally as first line treatment for the management of hip and knee Osteoarthritis. At PROmotion we run the GLA:D® Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis program which is an internationally run program focus on improving OA symptoms. By strengthening and correcting daily movement patterns, participants will train their bodies to move properly, prevent symptom progression and reduce pain. Other outcomes include less pain, reduced use of joint related pain killers, and more physical function. GLA:D® participants also reported high levels of satisfaction with the program and increased levels of physical activity 12 months after starting the program.
