Mick Gray

Born in England and served twenty-two years in the UK military in various UK and overseas locations as an Electronics Engineer, and played a variety of sports, including Rugby Union at representative level, and inter-unit football, field hockey and cricket. On leaving the military, immigrated to Australia and settled in North Brisbane. Worked self-employed as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach prior to completing a clinical exercise science degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast and gaining accreditation as an exercise physiologist in 2014. Worked in private practice for the past six years in a gym-based clinic with a variety of clients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac, metabolic and mental health conditions.

Experienced strength and conditioning coach in a variety of sports; over 25 years with rugby union teams, military and civilian, and individual athletes, netballers and rowers, which first sparked my interest in rehabilitation.

Particular interest in the use of movement and exercise in the management of chronic pain and mood state, with the goals of improving quality of life and getting you back to what you enjoy most.

Experienced group fitness instructor, teaching several Les Mills programs, including  Body Pump and GRIT, in addition to freestyle boxing, HIIT and circuit training.

Mick's favourite MOTION includes hill and trail walking, weight training and badminton
